As we enter the season of Lent, we recognize that sacrificing for the sake of others is a practice that Jesus has called us all to practice in this life. While we slow our pace and decrease or fast from something in our daily lives to observe Lent, serving others is a way to walk in the way of Jesus.

Join us throughout this season as we learn more about Common Heart and the food insecurities of those in our community.

Each year for Lent, we look for a way to serve together as a body of believers. Join us as we partner with Common Heart for the Hunger Walk, an opportunity to raise money for Common Heart’s food pantry to provide meals for families.

About Common Heart

Common Heart began as a grassroots movement in Union County, North Carolina, to bridge the gap between faith and practical demonstrations of God’s love. Every month, more than 350 individuals serve hungry families. What began as a small revolution of kindness has become a way to empower people to move out of poverty.
